Sarah's personal home was a special project, to say the least.
When our founder Sarah and her wife, Jamie, walked in the front door of the 1958 mid-century ranch, the two of them had very different reactions. Sarah saw a home that had given decades of life to multiple generations, but was in need of a major overhaul – with incredible potential. Jamie saw the warped floors, the uneven doors, the stained walls, the drafty windows – etc., etc.
They chose to honor this piece of history anyway. Sold through the previous homeowner's estate and destined to be torn down for new construction, the home was given a second life instead.
Leaning into a modern mid-century direction, the palette was deeply rooted in nature – rich mushroom taupes, deep greens, and charcoal tones contrasting clear walnut woods and black doors and trim throughout.
Featuring natural stone countertops from Calia Stone Boutique, custom cabinetry from Trim Tech, plumbing from Brizo, tile from Ann Sacks, Zia Tile, and Fireclay, closets by Inspired Closets, and artwork by Len Upin, Lisa Goesling, Stella Zee, Dolan Geiman, Rob France, and Sam Symborski.
