Upon the very first conversation, it was clear this was going to be a good fit. The couple was looking for their home to be a perfectly manicured sanctuary. Modern, but not minimal. Clean, but not cold.
With a juxtaposition of natural oak and bold, saturated blacks, we found a happy medium that felt both inviting and striking. We opted for high textural moments rather than infusing spaces with color. Custom trim moulding details were carefully designed to accent the existing architecture of this 1900-built home.
Continuity was a high priority. Every room needed to feel like part of the same story. A curated palette inspired by luxury menswear – soft black leather, nubby multiweave upholstery, and subtle geometric patterns – was carried throughout.
